Adjacent to the renovated Chinese courtyard garden, the Bakes & Kropp kitchen pairs with the Kate Singer sitting room to create a light-washed space to gather with friends and family.

Tucked away on the garden level, the kitchen is unmistakably Bakes & Kropp. It features their signature “classic white kitchen made new” style and commitment to exquisite function.

As the centerpiece of the space, the island boasts walnut waterfall edges, hidden built-ins, along with a highly functional bridge faucet and stainless steel sink combo set against Marquina stone.

Blue accents are peppered throughout the kitchen, bringing pops of cool color to this predominantly white space and creating continuity between the kitchen and sitting room.

Opting for an air of danger and sex appeal, Lichten Craig created a speakeasy ambience in the basement lounge with mirrored surfaces, dark walls, low lighting and, of course, liquor cabinets.

Using a single slab of brecciated stone, chocolate wall coverings punctuated by gold and a floor-to-ceiling mirror, Lichten Craig extended the mystery and intrigue of the basement lounge to the private powder room.

With its modern design, the simplicity of the wall-mount faucet keeps the line of the stone counter and sink clean, allowing for each distinctive element to stand out while working in unison.

Koi-covered de Gournay walls welcome guests into the basement powder room. An offshoot of Lichten Craig’s basement lounge, the petite space maintains a dark, moody palette brightened by white fixtures.

A surprising mix of buttoned-up and bold, the Robert A.M. Stern Interiors drawing room blends traditional rich wood paneling with a brilliant yellow wall accentuated by fragments of Andy Warhol’s 1966 Day-Glo wallpaper

Evoking the sense of a collection curated over time, the parlour room by Richard Mishaan Design is a celebration of pattern and texture through artisanal textiles and decorative art.

Majestic in black and white, “Stairway to Savage” by Jonathan Savage preserves the home’s Neo-Georgian origins, showcasing the intricate wrought-iron balustrade wending its way to the second floor.

Modern chinoiserie wall coverings adorned with woodland motifs of hand-applied plaster pair with mirrored niches and crystal sconces to create a sense of grandeur and artistry in the central staircase.

Casual sophistication is the theme of this luxurious second-floor drawing room. Designed by Kirsten Kelli, the room combines a white palette with vibrant color accents for a light, joyful ambience.

Plush white club chairs square off against a brilliant purple sofa in this Kirsten Kelli sitting room. Chic and comfortable, the room shimmers with gold accents and a polished, easy elegance.

This spectacular dining room features the whimsical interior and floral designs of Ken Fulk. Created for the imaginary “Madame F.”, the room surrounds guests with an eccentric menagerie of wild animals.

The 45^th annual show house is once again a spectacle to behold and a primer on who’s hot and what’s next in design. Nearly twenty design firms took part in transforming this exclusive Manhattan home into a stunning celebration of art and design.
